Alberta Teaching Jobs

The education system in Alberta provides a more hands-on level of learning to students living in the province. There are many academic institutions with different modes of teaching that one can choose from. One can get a job in any of the following academic institutions provided that one has all the requirements and qualifications to do so.

Pre-school

Handling kids is one tough job, but getting them to learn stuff is another task. If you have the skills, the patience, and the diploma, you can get a job teaching preschoolers. Some schools require teachers to have experience and be registered with the local licensing board.

Public schools

One can also find a job in the academe teaching students in the public school system of Alberta. However, teaching licenses, certifications, and specializations maybe required in order to provide the free basic learning that is prescribed by Alberta laws.

Charter Schools

Though charter schools are still part of the public education system of Alberta, teachers can adopt styles and methods of teaching different from those of regular public schools. Though basic requirements are the same as those from teachers in regular public schools, other specific qualifications may be asked from the applicant.

Francophone Schools

Parents also have the option to enroll their children in French schools. Here, a deep understanding of the French language and how to convey subject matters in French is needed.

Specialty schools

Alberta attracts people from different countries because of the many job opportunities in the province. However, some of them have only rudimentary knowledge of English. Jobs can also be found with institutions teaching English as a second language to non-English speaking individuals.
